Degree Requirements


In order to graduate from University College-Newark, all students must complete the following requirements:

  1. Successfully completing at least 124 academic credits.
  2. Successfully completing the college's core curriculum.
  3. Successfully completing one of the major programs of study.
  4. Successfully completing a second concentration.*
  5. Successfully completing the Writing Across the Curriculum requirement.
  6. Successfully completing the foreign language requirement (does not apply to all students).
  7. Successfully earning a cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or better.
